why lift weights?

As we get older, our bodies and bones lose strength and density as well as a loss of muscle mass, so I offer strength and resistance training to improve metabolism, burn more calories and aid weight management, and increase muscle mass.

Training with weights is not only a great way to tone up and get fitter, you are improving your strength and muscle definition, as well as your flexibility which allows you to perform daily tasks much more easily, such as carrying heavy groceries or running around with your kids or grandkids.

what are the longterm effects?

Strength training regularly will help to increase bone density which stimulates bone-building cells helping them to become stronger. It also reduces the risk of osteoporosis and fractures. Plus, resistance training is very empowering!
